The Sr. Strategy & Services Director for Origence Lending Services (OLS) is responsible for the development of new lending-as-as service (LaaS) offerings for OLS and FI Connect. The SSSD also leads the strategic planning process for the division and coordinates ongoing cross-functional efforts to execute to plan through advanced business and financial analysis and reporting. This role requires a leader that balances an entrepreneurial spirit with the discipline of operational excellence. The SSSD has a track record of building out new business offerings from ideation through launch, exceptional analytical skills and business acumen, and a proven ability to work with a variety of cross-functional teams at all levels in an organization with a fast-paced, start-up like environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

New Product/Service Offerings

Lead OLS and FI Connect initiatives to establish new lending-as-a-service (LaaS)offerings. Develop business cases, business plans, system and operational frameworks for new offerings by OLS and FI Connect. In collaboration with OLS and FI Connect staff, oversee the development of new offerings up through a point of operational normalization and management by the operations team or other relevant stakeholders.

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Assist with the development of comprehensive strategic plans that are aligned with the overall goals and vision of Origence. Identify market trends, consistently scan the competitive landscape, and identify emerging opportunities to position OLS and FI Connect for sustained growth. Lead collaborative efforts across business units within Origence and with partners to foster growth and achieve strategic goals.

Business and Financial Analysis

  • Drive revenue and expense management optimization through advanced analysis and the execution of relevant initiatives that ensure the business achieves defined financial objectives. Collaborate with OLS and FI Connect, Corporate Services, Finance, Client Experience, Product, and Sales teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models. Demonstrate quality analysis and judgment in planning, implementation, and the execution of identified business initiatives. Develop and deliver high quality reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

The Ideal Candidate:

Education:

  • BA/BS degree in a related field, MBA preferred

Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years professional experience with five years in senior management or a role with commensurate experience
  • Extensive knowledge of consumer lending operations, systems, and compliance
  • Experience with startups or other high-growth organizations with fast-paced environments and limited resources
  • Demonstrated experience developing sound business strategies and new product/service development

Specialized Skills:

  • Mastery of consumer lending with strong financial, operational, systems, compliance, and business acumen.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills with cross-functional teams and matrix organizational structures.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively with limited direction or oversight.
  • Extraordinary organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Practical product (service) development skills, with strength in business case development, and a working-knowledge of go-to-market tactics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiating, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations at all organizational levels for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time.

The starting salary range for this full-time position is $147900 - $184900 per year. This base pay will take into consideration internal equity, candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge and experience among other factors. Origence maintains a highly competitive compensation program. Under company guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual bonus to provide an incentive to achieve targeted goals. Bonuses are awarded at company’s discretion on an individual basis.
