The Partnerships Director is responsible for managing and growing strategic alliances that drive long-term value for Origence, credit unions, and dealer partners. This role focuses on optimizing existing partnership programs, expanding opportunities within those programs, and identifying new areas for collaboration that align with Origence’s business strategy. Additionally, this role provides support for broader corporate development efforts.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Strategic Business Development & Corporate Growth:

  • Identify, evaluate, and execute strategic partnership opportunities to support corporate development initiatives.
  • Conduct financial modeling and valuation analyses to assess potential partnerships, joint ventures, and M&A opportunities.
  • Develop business cases with clear recommendations, outlining expected synergies, risks, and integration plans.
  • Lead negotiations for partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Revenue Expansion & Portfolio Optimization:

  • Manage key partnerships—including Non-Prime, Credit Union Solutions, Insurance, and the Digital Partner Network—to maximize economic value.
  • Develop and implement financial growth strategies across partnerships, ensuring measurable contributions to Origence's business objectives.
  • Leverage market intelligence to identify expansion opportunities and competitive positioning.
  • Work cross-functionally with finance, legal, and executive leadership to optimize deal structures and performance outcomes.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators to assess partnership effectiveness, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Corporate Innovation & Strategic Positioning:

  • Identify and pursue innovative partnership opportunities that align with corporate development goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including technology and product development—to drive forward-thinking initiatives.
  • Evaluate industry trends to uncover strategic positioning opportunities and potential acquisitions.

The Ideal Candidate:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Experience:

  • Proven leadership experience in strategic partnership business development, or related roles with an established network of contacts within automotive manufacturing, and financing marketplaces.
  • Extensive experience in corporate development, strategic partnerships, or investment banking.
  • Proven track record of leading negotiations, structuring deals, and executing business growth initiatives.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and the ability to interpret complex business analyses.
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, or market expansion strategies.

Specialized Skills:

  • Expertise in corporate strategy, financial valuation, and risk assessment.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing high-impact deals.
  • Ability to articulate complex financial and strategic concepts to executive leadership.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for partnership development and business expansion efforts
  • Able to travel extensively

The starting salary range for this full-time position in Irvine, CA is $144700 - $180900 per year. This base pay will take into consideration internal equity, candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge and experience among other factors. Origence maintains a highly competitive compensation program. Under company guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual bonus to provide an incentive to achieve targeted goals. Bonuses are awarded at company’s discretion on an individual basis.
