The ServiceNow Administrator / Architect to lead the administration, configuration, and optimization of our newly implemented ServiceNow platform. This is a critical role as we partner with an external implementer to configure and deploy ServiceNow across multiple modules (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CSM). The ideal candidate will help drive long-term platform strategy, ensure operational excellence, and become the internal subject matter expert as we scale our use of the platform.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  1. Platform Administration:
    • Oversee all aspects of the ServiceNow platform, including updates, patches, configurations, and daily maintenance.
    • Monitor platform performance, health, and security; identify and remediate operational issues.
    • Manage user roles, access control, data integrity, and compliance with internal IT security policies.
  2. Module Configuration and Customization:
    • Configure and maintain ServiceNow modules including:
      • ITSM: Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, Knowledge
      • ITOM: CMDB, Discovery
      • ITAM: Hardware and Software Asset Management
      • CSM: Customer Service Management
    • Develop and support custom applications, workflows, UI policies, business rules, and UI actions using ServiceNow Studio and Flow Designer.
    • Create and maintain custom roles, forms, views, and reports to support evolving business needs.
  3. Security and Compliance:
    • Implement role-based access controls, data encryption, and compliance configurations in line with organizational security policies.
    • Support internal and external audits by ensuring configuration and documentation are aligned with compliance requirements.
  4. Integration and Automation:
    • Integrate ServiceNow with external systems and applications via REST/SOAP APIs and other integration tools.
    • Automate manual processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
  5. Data Management:
    • Ensure data accuracy and consistency through import sets, transform maps, and regular audits.
    • Design and maintain dashboards, performance analytics, and scheduled reports to support decision-making and operational transparency.
  6. Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay current with ServiceNow releases, features, and industry best practices.
    • Identify and propose enhancements to improve platform performance, user experience, and business outcomes.
    • Participate in planning, testing, and rollout of upgrades and new features.

The Ideal Candidate:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Administrator in a corporate environment.

Certifications (Preferred but not required):

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – required
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – preferred
  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification – preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other scripting languages used within ServiceNow.
  • Experience with REST, SOAP, LDAP, and other integration technologies.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow modules: ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, and CSM.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Studio, Flow Designer, and Performance Analytics.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and services is a plus.

Specialized Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
  • Proficient with MDM tools such as Intune, JAMF, and SCCM.
  • Quick to learn and adapt to emerging technologies and applications.
  • Experienced in automating processes using scripting languages like PowerShell.
  • Capable of translating technical specifications into clear, actionable, non-technical requirements.
  • Contributes to process documentation and provides training support as needed.

The starting salary range for this full-time position in Irvine, CA is $88400 - $110500 per year. This base pay will take into consideration internal equity, candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge and experience among other factors. Origence maintains a highly competitive compensation program. Under company guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual bonus to provide an incentive to achieve targeted goals. Bonuses are awarded at company’s discretion on an individual basis.
