The Senior Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying end-to-end automation solutions using UiPath, AI, and custom .NET applications. This role will focus on streamlining internal product workflows by combining robotic process automation (RPA) and artificial intelligence (AI) with scalable C#-based services deployed to Azure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, AI Center, strong proficiency in C#, and a solid understanding of Azure services and DevOps practices. This position plays a key role in advancing our automation and digital transformation initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Automation Development & Deployment

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows using UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, AI Center, and Document Understanding.
  • Build scalable .NET applications and services in C# to support automation and integration needs.
  • Deploy and manage solutions in Azure, leveraging services such as Azure Functions, App Services, and Key Vault.
  • Ensure all automation solutions are secure, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

Process Analysis & Optimization

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and gather requirements.
  • Analyze existing manual processes and recommend automation strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Document process?flows, technical specifications, and solution designs.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine automation solutions based on performance metrics and feedback.

Collaboration & Support

  • Partner with internal?product teams, IT, and business units to deliver integrated automation solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers or citizen developers.
  • Support troubleshooting, debugging, and resolution of issues in production environments.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies as part of the development lifecycle.

Governance, Testing & Continuous Improvement

  • Implement robust testing strategies including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing for both UiPath and .NET components.
  • Maintain version control and CI/CD pipelines for automation projects using tools like Git and Azure DevOps.
  • Ensure compliance with internal security, data privacy, and change management policies.
  • Stay current with UiPath, AI, .NET, and Azure platform updates and recommend improvements to tooling and practices.

The Ideal Candidate:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or commensurate experience.

Certifications (Preferred but not required):

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience developing automation solutions using UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, AI Center, and Document Understanding.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience building .NET applications?using C#, including RESTful APIs, libraries, and background services.
  • Proven experience deploying and managing solutions in Microsoft Azure, including services like Azure Functions, App Services, and Azure DevOps.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other scripting languages used within ServiceNow.
  • Experience with REST, SOAP, LDAP, and other integration technologies.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow modules: ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, and CSM.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Studio, Flow Designer, and Performance Analytics.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and services is a plus.

Specialized Skills:

  • Familiarity with RPA best practices, exception handling, and automation lifecycle management.
  • Experience integrating UiPath with external systems (e.g., databases, APIs, file systems).
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a cross-functional team.

The starting salary range for this full-time position in Irvine, CA is $144700 - $180900 per year. This base pay will take into consideration internal equity, candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge and experience among other factors. Origence maintains a highly competitive compensation program. Under company guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual bonus to provide an incentive to achieve targeted goals. Bonuses are awarded at company’s discretion on an individual basis.
