The Tradeshow Specialist plays a critical strategic role in the planning, administration, and execution of corporate events and tradeshows that support brand engagement, business development, and employee experience. This role will lead the planning and execution of the company’s largest tradeshow’s including NADA, GAC and REACH and other industry and league shows. This position requires independent judgment, discretion, and decision-making in matters of event strategy, budget allocation, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Principal Responsibilities / Objectives:

Strategic Event Planning & Oversight (35%)

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and internal stakeholders to define and execute event objectives for the companies largest tradeshows NADA, GAC and REACH and others as assigned, are aligned with company goals.
  • Exercise independent judgment in the selection of venues, partners, themes, and content to optimize event effectiveness.
  • Lead the development of event/tradeshow messaging and branded materials including collateral, email campaigns, and digital content for largest tradeshows and league shows as assigned.
  • Direct and manage external vendors and consultants with full authority to negotiate terms and ensure alignment with strategic event goals.
  • Partner with the entire experiential team to produce Origence’s annual conference, Lending Tech Live and CU4Kids Wine auction.
  • Make on-the-ground decisions during events to adapt to changing conditions, mitigate risk, and resolve issues.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance event ROI and operational efficiency.
  • Become a Sponsorship liaison to work with tradeshow hosts and sponsors to build relationships as it pertains to possible connection with LTL and other partnership/sponsorships with Origence.
  • Other duties as assigned

Event Administration & Budget Management (30%)

  • Manage end-to-end logistics for events, including timelines, task delegation, and operational readiness.
  • Independently track and manage event budgets, create purchase orders, authorize expenditures, and ensure financial accountability.
  • Lead the development and dissemination of event communications, registration processes, and feedback surveys.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and schedules to ensure seamless execution of all event components.

Project Management & Operational Leadership (25%)

  • Own and maintain event project management system input (wrike) to document milestones, responsibilities, and timelines.
  • Lead planning meetings with internal leadership, ensuring appropriate company representation and support at each event.
  • Manage event technology platforms including registration, tracking, and analytics tools for in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats.
  • Maintain inventory of corporate event assets and make strategic recommendations for updates or investments.
  • Prepare post-event reports, including KPIs, survey feedback, and financial summaries for leadership review.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Planning, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in professional event planning, preferably in a corporate or B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing event budgets, vendor contracts, and cross-functional collaboration.

Specialized Skills:

  • Strong strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools; familiarity with MAC systems is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to act independently, exercise discretion, and make decisions that impact business outcomes.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.

The starting hourly range for this full-time position in Irvine, CA is $69,800 - $87,300 per year. This base pay will take into consideration internal equity, candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge and experience among other factors. Origence maintains a highly competitive compensation program. Under company guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual bonus to provide an incentive to achieve targeted goals. Bonuses are awarded at company’s discretion on an individual basis.
