A Major Dealer Groups, Director reports to the SVP – Dealer Solutions and is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding strategic relationships with large, complex dealer groups that operate on a national or regional scale. These dealer groups typically function within a corporate structure, with centralized executive leadership and regional or divisional management overseeing multiple dealerships.

This role mirrors many of the core responsibilities of a Dealer Solutions Manager but operates at a significantly higher level of influence, engaging executive decisionmakers, aligning enterprise-level strategies, and coordinating across multiple internal and external stakeholders. The Director is accountable for driving enterprise adoption of Origence dealer solutions, increasing product penetration, strengthening lender participation, and ensuring long-term retention and growth across assigned major dealer group relationships.

A Major Dealer Groups, Director works in close partnership with the Dealer Solutions team and Dealer Solutions Managers, as these roles often share accounts. It is critical that this role effectively manages relationships at the corporate and senior leadership level, while ensuring alignment, coordination, and execution across the field organization.

Success is measured through strategic account growth, enterprise-level product adoption, client retention, lender penetration, revenue growth, and the strength of executive-level dealer relationships. Travel is required to support assigned accounts and company meetings.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Strategic Business Developments

  • Serve as the primary senior-level relationship owner for assigned major dealer group accounts, engaging corporate executives and senior regional leadership.
  • Identify, develop, and expand enterprise-level opportunities for Origence dealer solutions, including CUDL, AutoSMART, digital retail products, DMS/CRM, eContracting, embedded finance and other dealer-related offerings.
  • Lead strategic presentations, negotiations, and alignment discussions with dealer group executives to drive platform adoption and long-term partnerships.
  • Support onboarding and expansion initiatives across multi-store dealer groups, ensuring solutions are implemented consistently and effectively at scale.
  • Identify dealer group ownership changes, mergers, acquisitions, or organizational shifts and proactively manage transitions to protect and expand Origence relationships.

Executive Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain trusted, consultative relationships with corporate executives, regional directors, and senior operational leaders within major dealer groups.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to dealer leadership by aligning Origence solutions to enterprise goals, operational efficiencies, and growth strategies.
  • Encourage and strengthen collaboration between Dealer Groups and Origence’s lender partners to increase lender participation and overall platform value.
  • Partner closely with Dealer Solutions Managers to ensure alignment between enterprise strategy and field-level execution across shared accounts.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex dealer group issues, working cross-functionally to resolve challenges and maintain strong client relationships.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Enablement

  • Collaborate closely with Dealer Solutions, Client and Product Support, Enterprise Solutions, Lender Solutions, Origence Lending Services, and Product teams to deliver a unified experience to major dealer groups.
  • Provide strategic guidance, account context, and executive-level insight to Dealer Solutions Managers and Directors supporting locations within assigned dealer groups.
  • Share market intelligence, competitive insights, and dealer feedback with internal stakeholders to influence product development and go-to-market strategies.
  • Support coordinated dealer-lender initiatives, including joint meetings, enterprise pilots, and strategic growth efforts as directed by leadership.

Reporting, Planning & Organizational Leadership

  • Monitor and report on trends impacting major dealer groups, automotive retail, and the credit union industry.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date dealer group account information within Origence systems.
  • Consistently model Origence’s culture and values while fostering strong internal partnerships and a collaborative approach across teams.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, account reviews, and leadership initiatives related to Major Dealer Groups.

The Ideal Candidate:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience:

  • Significant experience in indirect auto finance, dealer technology, automotive retail, or digital retail marketing.
  • Demonstrated success managing large, complex, multi-location dealer group relationships.
  • Experience engaging and influencing executive-level stakeholders.
  • Salesforce and PowerBI experience preferred.

Specialized Skills:

  • Ability to operate independently with a high degree of judgment, discretion, and initiative.
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic, consultative mindset with the ability to translate enterprise goals into scalable solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage complexity across shared accounts and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills within the dealer business model.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel extensively; must possess a valid driver’s license

The starting annual range for this full-time position is a base of $111800 - $139800 per year in addition to a quarterly commission program, total compensation up $155800 - $183800. This base pay will take into consideration internal equity, candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge and experience among other factors. Origence maintains a highly competitive compensation program.
